Plan your Home Extension OR Loft Conversion Built 

Home Extension or Lost Conversions is major work to your home. YWe recommend you plan your project and have some ideas for what you need. We can help you from start to completions. Following are some key points for your planning.

  • Decide where you want the extension
  • Prepare rough sketches / Layout / Rough dimentions
  • Work out your maximum and minimum budget - include everything on the list including flooring & Lighting
  • Please allow for 10% to 20% for a contingency and additional work that you may add after the Estimates are received
  • Create the plans for your extension
  • Run the plans past your neighbours
  • Apply for planning permission and building regulations approval. We can recommend Architect or you can use your existing one.
  • Make any required changes to the plans
  • Appoint reputable or recommended Builder
  • Check for requirement for Party Wall Agreement with your neighbours. We can recommend you Party Wall Surveyor who is member of RICS - Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors
  • Agree with neighbours any times during the day you can start and finish the build
  • Organise your current space to provide easy access for contractors and less disruption for yourself (for example, if you have a spare bedroom or a Garage then to consider making it a temporary available to the contractors
  • Please note Home Extension or Loft Conversion is major work.
